The salary increase of parliamentarians applies accross the board. DA, ID, IFP, ANC, UDM, VF etc. There hasn't been a single party or parliamentarian who has refused to accept the increase. We wait to see who is going to be the first hypocrite and act as if only ANC MP got the increase!!!

Molatelo Mathikithela The issue should not be about "they" getting an increase as well... Or about who will complain because they are also getting! The issue is whether is it really appropriate for public office bearers to be getting this 5% increase amid such a... disproportionate wage gap between the leadership and the ordinary people. That nobody is complaining does not make this increases moral or acceptable! Have we lost the campus really? Take for example how many lives where lost as a consequence of the public service strike which strike was the effective bargaining tool for poor workers to get the 7.5% increase. Which means without this strike the increase in its current form would be absent. And you have people giving themselves a 5% increase justifying it by saying: "they have also got". Is the fact that you had little room for opposition making noise about it a tacit admission that such an increase is immoral and unacceptable under the current circumstances and in the light of the challenges facing our country?

Puseletso Molise The question we need to ask it's a frequent one, which always popps in every revolutionaries philosophical tank, that how best can we address this imbalances? What is the role of the working class within the broader alliance, have they been relegated to be spectators, or as some put it bluntly that the left movements has been liquidated by some within our fold? Which i absolutely disagree with that statement.
Connie Sathekge Pity u guys u always luking 4 sum1 2 criticise, I mean already we've read and seen news that all parliamentarians would get increse so why should wait 4 others 2 complain, which they cnt cuz it wont be necessary, just that ur ANC gvt is so useless, they couldnt increase salaries of public servant ,bt would rather increase 4 people who sit bck n let other's do their job, whle they spent tax payer's money, wether its viva anc or whateva,
