JACOB ZUMA ON STRIKE INSTRUCTION

The President of South Africa Jacob Zuma has instructed all his ministers who are involved in the negotiations to end the strike, to go back to the negotiating table. This is his attempt to end the strike that has taken 3 weeks.

Government has made numerous offers to striking public servants but it does not look like they are ready to disengage. They are sticking to their demands of better salaries and better working conditions.

Jacob Zuma is understood to be very concerned about this ongoing strike. He has made a number of calls to both his ministers and public servants to negotiate speedily to make sure that a resolution if found as soon as possible. Jacob Zuma just came back from his trip to China in his attempt to lobby for investment into South Africa's infrastructural investment campaign.
