Pres Zuma Surprises Many

President Jacob Zuma continues to display very strong leadership and understanding of critical matters relating to South Africa’s unity. He has made a number of statements showing very well that he is not reducing himself to cheap politics and personal weaknesses.

The appointment of Tony Leon, who is know of attaching the previous president Thabo Mbeki, was a clear indication that his intention is to triumph even above racialism and political differences. His critics and media have opted to give Zuma decision less publicity. This is done for a reason of which I suspect that they are trying very hard to hide the man’s qualities as the South Africa’s new president.

Speaking in south of Joburg on Saterday, President Zuma said he has always “stood against any form of discrimination and racism. Again this speech did not get enough publicity from the media and newspaper articles report less than one line of his speech on racism and discrimination.

"Many of our leaders have taught us about the importance of this principle. They have spoken and lived non-racialism. We know what our responsibility is on this matter." These are the words coming from the man that the likes of Helen Zille had stages a campaign to have him stopped. Their campaigns leave one very suspicious about what their political objectives are although it is never possible to get the truth on this one.
