Today I came across a very interesting article about white people and future projections of the population. According to the United Nations, white population is declining very quickly as a result of many factors. They are projecting that if these factors persist, white community will at some point vanish completely.
I have also been following white supremacy debate going on in the UK about fears that white people are developing as a result of skewed population growth. One thing that surfaces in this debate is that white people are now calling for the protection of their race. The interesting part though is that they are now demanding to be respected just like Africans. As they make this call they are however denying that it is motivated by racism or hatred towards other races.
It has emerged in the white supremacy discussions that the main factor that causes white race to shrink is controlled birth. They are so obsessed about reducing the number of children such that it has become their fashion trend. Statistically, a white family has 1.4 children as compared to other races put together.
The problem I have with this white supremacy concept is that it is driven by the idea that white people are supreme and the world needs to treat them differently. This idea is behind most of problems experienced across the globe. Racism, exclusion of the disabled, exclusion of the aged and many other limitations. They are now driving a huge campaign of diversity and inclusion which is about looking at means and ways of accepting people from a different race than yours.
In South Africa (Mzansi), we are still struggling to come to terms with the damage resulting from the same ideology that white people are supreme. I watched PW Botha video interview where he was pleading all South Africans during riots targeted at apartheid, that people must not forget that whites are supreme. I realised that racism and apartheid are a by-product of this sick ideology. It matured and fuelled racism across the world because it was not challenged for a long time.
